Digital Access and Inclusion <\/span><\/h2><\/span><\/div>
This component will support broader access to broadband as well as the adoption of data-driven services. Internet access program for rural areas<\/h5>
This activity will target rural areas where the commercial incentive\n for expanding the last-mile network is insufficient to promote \ninfrastructure modernization and\/or new investments in networks. \nIt will enable the extension of broadband connectivity services to these areas through commercial service providers via a process of reverse auctions.<\/div><\/div><\/div>\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Higher Education Connectivity Program.<\/h5>
This activity will provide support to BERNET, enabling it to enhance its support to the EES \n(Education and Research Institutions) through prepayment of BERNET's membership fees \nfor Africa Connect 2 and 3. This will allow its 16 existing EES members located across\n Burundi to access low-cost subsidized international connectivity, academic content, \nand training opportunities through the EU-funded Africa Connect initiative.<\/div><\/div><\/div>\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
